I have about 8+ years of professional experience in upstream oil and gas industry in areas of Business Planning and Strategy, Commercial, Production Operation, Project Planning and Construction. It started back in April 2000 when I first began my career as Project Scheduler in Tripatra Engineering, then I had the opportunity starting in October 2000 at Medco E&P Indonesia (formerly known as Expan Nusantara) in various positions in Project related and from January 2008 I joined Petronas Carigali as Sr. Executive Business Planning and Performance Management until July 2010 when I decided to move forward my professional experience into the Parliament of Republik of Indonesia as one of the expert staffs for a member in Energy Commission (Komisi VII DPR RI)
As far as my academic background, after the completion of my High School in SMA 8 Jakarta in 1995, I went to Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) majoring in Civil Engineering. In 2001, I received government scholarship to pursue MEng in Project Management at The Pennsylvania State University (PennState) in USA. After finishing the school and few years of working, I continued my education in Business program i.e. MBA in Energy Management.
Apart from the professional and educational experiences, in order to expand my knowledge and network, I am also involved in some professional organizations i.e. Indonesian Oil and Gas Community (KMI), Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Indonesia Renewable Energy Society (METI), Association of Indonesian Petroleum Engineers (IATMI), World Energy Council (KNI-WEC) and recently with Bimasena “The Mines and Energy Society”.
I currently active at the House of Representatives of Republic Indonesia (DPR – RI) as Expert Staff in a Commission that overseeing Energy Sector. Besides that main role, I am also engaged as Consultant in Energy Center, Managing Contributor in Jurnal Energi, Moderator and Speaker for Energy related topic in University and Energy Forum, and last but not least I am one of the Vice Chairman in Civil Engineering Alumni Association of ITB (ALSI ITB).
